Position Highlights: Position: Health Psychology Post Doctoral Fellow Location: Evanston, IL Full Time Hours: Monday-Friday, [hours and flexible work schedules] A Brief Overview: As a Health Psychology Post Doctoral Fellow in our Behavioral Health Division, you will be part of a rigorous training program that provides hands‑on clinical experience in various medical specialties. You will work under the guidance of attending physicians and senior medical staff to develop clinical skills, medical knowledge, and patient care expertise. What you will do: Participating in a structured rotation program through various medical specialties, including but not limited to internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics, and psychiatry. Providing direct patient care, including conducting physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing treatment plans under the supervision of attending physicians. Maintaining accurate and complete patient records, documenting patient encounters, medical history, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow‑up care. Attending didactic sessions, lectures, and case conferences, and actively participate in medical rounds, grand rounds, and other educational activities. Engaging in clinical research projects and contribute to evidence‑based medicine initiatives, including data collection and analysis. Educating patients and their families on medical conditions, treatment options, and post‑discharge care instructions. Collaborating with healthcare teams, including nurses, therapists, and other professionals, to ensure the best possible patient care and outcomes. Pursuing opportunities for continuing medical education and maintain compliance with licensing and certification requirements. What you will need: PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology and a one‑year pre‑doctoral internship. Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Illinois required or pending.
