Job Title: High School Health & Wellness Coordinator
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated High School Health & Wellness Coordinator to join our team and lead the implementation of a comprehensive Health and Wellness curriculum within our integrated cycling program. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in promoting physical, mental, and emotional well-being among our participants.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a tailored Health and Wellness curriculum for students.
- Direct the high school health and wellness program and support middle school programs year-round.
- Manage cycling equipment inventory, ensuring availability, safety, and cleanliness.
- Support annual recruitment efforts by creating plans, organizing events, and communicating with stakeholders.
- Recruit and manage volunteer coaches for daily support.
- Coordinate transportation logistics for events and activities as needed.
- Ensure Health and Wellness curriculum aligns with program goals and objectives.
- Stay updated on best practices in nutrition, mental health, sexual education, and body positivity.
- Design and facilitate workshops and activities focused on nutrition, mental health, and human development.
- Integrate Health and Wellness components into cycling activities and events.
- Provide participant support and resources to encourage healthy lifestyle choices.
- Evaluate Health and Wellness initiatives and suggest improvements.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of program activities and participant engagement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Health Education, Public Health, Psychology, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience in developing and implementing Health and Wellness programs, preferably in a community or youth-focused setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate participants from diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrated organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Experience working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Passion for promoting health and wellness through cycling and outdoor activities.
Benefits:
- Salary range: $48k-$50k (based on experience and education level)
- Healthcare coverage provided by Kaiser Permanente, vision coverage by United, dental coverage by Delta.
- Approximately 32 days off per year, following the DPS calendar.
- Five personal days per year.
