Position Overview: The Healthcare Data Analyst will play a crucial role in analyzing complex healthcare data to drive decision-making and improve healthcare services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, a solid understanding of healthcare systems, and the ability to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis: Collect, clean, and analyze healthcare data from various sources, including electronic health records (EHR), claims data, and patient surveys.
  • Reporting: Develop and maintain regular reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs), trends, and outcomes.
  • Insights: Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in healthcare data to provide actionable insights for improving patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare providers, IT professionals, and management teams to understand data needs and ensure the accuracy and relevance of data reports.
  • Data Quality: Implement and monitor data quality assurance processes to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of healthcare data.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, including HIPAA, when handling and analyzing patient data.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance data analysis methodologies and tools.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Health Data Analyst) is a plus.
  • Experience: Experience in data analysis within a healthcare setting, with a strong understanding of healthcare data systems and analytics tools.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., SQL, Python, R) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Familiarity with EHR systems and healthcare databases is preferred.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present findings clearly.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis and reporting.
