Join Vanbaalen Consultants Client in Rodeo, CA as an Assistive Technology Professional (ATP). We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable individual to support individuals with disabilities in enhancing their mobility and overall quality of life through cutting-edge assistive technology solutions. This position is vital in assessing client needs, recommending appropriate technologies, and providing training to ensure optimal use of equipment.
As an ATP, you will work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to develop tailored solutions for clients. You will empower users by providing education and ongoing support, ensuring they can make the most of their assistive devices.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to determine clients' needs for assistive technologies, including mobility devices such as wheelchairs and other related products.
- Provide expert recommendations on appropriate assistive technologies based on client assessments and preferences.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, suppliers, and clients to facilitate the acquisition and fitting of necessary equipment.
- Deliver training and education to clients and caregivers on the effective use and maintenance of assistive devices.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current assistive technology products and industry trends.
- Document assessment results, recommendations, and training outcomes efficiently and thoroughly.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance knowledge and skills in assistive technology.
Qualifications:
- Certification as Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) through RESNA (Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America). _ If you do not have one and have been in a similiar position as a Field Service Tech, we wil pay for certification.
- Experience working in the assistive technology field, preferably with a focus on mobility devices.
- Strong technical knowledge of assistive technology products and devices.
- Ability to assess clients' needs and develop customized solutions based on individual requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and engage clients and their families.
- Willingness to travel to client sites, as necessary.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities.
