This position is located at District 1-1, Northwest Georgia Public Health in Rome, Georgia. This position is an unclassified, full‑time position working 40 hours per week. Under general supervision, provides Emergency Preparedness administrative, programmatic and technical assistance within regional healthcare coalitions. Supports planning and implementation of Emergency Preparedness activities. Evaluates program for compliance with state and/or federal guidelines. Manages healthcare coalition inventory assets. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Assists healthcare coalition executive team with budget preparation and monitoring Assesses emergency preparedness needs of healthcare organizations Facilitates coalition meetings, manages supply inventory and submits purchase requests Coordinates and conducts emergency preparedness training and exercise activities among regional healthcare organizations Promotes communication and information sharing among healthcare agencies Reviews federal and state regulations and supports program objectives to ensure deliverable compliance Communicates program policies, procedures, and guidelines to internal and external partners Liaises with health departments, healthcare coalition members and community partners to provide education, resource assistance, planning guidance and problem resolution to improve emergency preparedness outcomes Analyzes potential for emergencies and documents findings to address preparedness gaps Researches emergency management issues and recommends preparedness best practices Performs other related emergency preparedness tasks as assigned by the district Emergency Preparedness Director Attends Emergency Preparedness district and statewide meetings, where some overnight travel may be required Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of experience performing work related to area of assignment; or seven (7) years of experience performing work related to area of assignment; or one (1) year of experience at the lower level Healthcare Prgm Consultant 1 (HCP090) or position equivalent. Note: Some positions may require licensure. The DPH Commissioner and agency leaders encourage all employees to engage in regular wellness activities and to make lifestyle choices that promote health and well‑being. The use of physical activity breaks during the workday is authorized to support this philosophy and help employees meet their wellness goals. A maximum of 30 minutes of physical activity may be allocated per workday, typically in the form of two 15‑minute breaks or one 30‑minute break. Employment Information CBH accepts educational credential recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE) will be considered.
