Position Overview

Sophisticated Hearing is seeking a compassionate and motivated Hearing Instrument Specialist to join their growing team.

This position offers a supportive, low-pressure environment focused on quality care rather than sales quotas or product upselling. Providers are encouraged to spend the time needed with each patient to deliver personalized, effective hearing solutions.

The ideal candidate is passionate about helping others hear better, values professionalism and empathy, and enjoys working collaboratively in a patient-first setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform hearing aid consultations, fittings, verification, and follow-up care in alignment with best practices.
  • Conduct hearing screenings and basic audiometric testing within the state licensure scope.
  • Provide tinnitus education and basic management support under audiologist supervision.
  • Fit and manage Lyric extended-wear devices (training and certification provided).
  • Educate patients and families on hearing aid use, maintenance, and realistic expectations.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold patient confidentiality.
  • Contribute to the ongoing success of the practice by fostering trust and long-term patient relationships.

Qualifications

  • Active New Jersey Hearing Instrument Specialist License (or eligibility for licensure).
  • Proven experience with hearing aid fittings, verification, and patient counseling.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Commitment to ethical, patient-centered care.

Benefits
