The Role: Precision Excavation & Utility Installation
In this position, you will operate various heavy machines to install, repair, and maintain the underground networks that support daily life and economic activity.
- Machine Operation: Expertly operate backhoes, excavators, dozers, plows, trenchers, and directional bore machines.
- Infrastructure Tasks: Execute tasks including digging around existing "live" utilities, placing conduit, installing handholes and manholes, and performing backfilling and compaction.
- Safety Leadership: Embrace a rigorous safety culture. This includes participating in daily and weekly safety talks, wearing appropriate PPE, and ensuring the safe operation of all machinery.
- Equipment Stewardship: Perform daily maintenance on your equipment, including fluid checks, greasing, and routine servicing to ensure operational readiness.
What You Bring to the Team
- Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in construction, excavation, and heavy equipment operation is preferred.
- Licensure: You MUST possess a valid motor vehicle operator license with a CDL Class A.
- Safety Knowledge: Strong familiarity with OSHA Regulations regarding trench safety and excavation.
- Reliability: Must pass a pre-employment drug test and participate in random drug and alcohol testing.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

- Technical Proficiency: Ability to operate various equipment for the installation of underground utilities as directed by the foreman.
- Critical Thinking: Ability to navigate complex dig sites around existing utilities without causing damage.
