Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator Join our team as a Heavy Equipment Operator and play a crucial role in our pipe and grade crews. Your expertise will drive the success of our construction projects. Responsibilities Operate excavators and dozers to execute various tasks. For pipe crews, skillfully operate excavators to dig trenches for pipe installation. For grade crews, proficiently operate loaders, excavators, and dozers to perform rough and fine grading. Essential Skills Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, including excavators and bulldozers. Excavation and grading expertise. Experience in civil site and construction environments. Proficiency with GPS technology. Additional Skills & Qualifications 2+ years of experience operating heavy Caterpillar Equipment (Dozer/Excavator). Experience installing pipe, storm water lines, etc. Rough grade experience. Commercial construction experience. Why Work Here? Our team operates Monday through Friday, from 7 AM to 5 or 6 PM. Projects are primarily located around Richmond, VA, including sites in Chesterfield, VA and other nearby areas. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Toano, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 – $27.00/hr.
