Position Title: Heavy Equipment Technology Solutions Expert

Reports To: Vice President of Sales

Exempt/Nonexempt: Exempt

Department: Sales

Location(s): Holmes, NY

**Starting salary $70,000 plus commission - Company truck is provided

JOB SUMMARY

Supporting the sales team by effectively demonstrating the advantages and benefits of utilizing Komatsu’s progressive technology to internal and external customers. Technology Solutions Experts understand Smart Construction technology and how to incorporate it into customers fleets for improved productivity. This role is designed to fully support Komatsu I-machine’s, by understanding all technologies related to GPS guided heavy equipment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate grade control demonstrations in conjunction with sales team.
  • Effectively demonstrate to customers the unique value of available technology.
  • Communicate with manufacturers related to Smart Construction technology.
  • Provide consistent product support and training to customers.
  • Manage machine control product inventory.
  • Manage grade control sales and rental activities.
  • Provide basic technology troubleshooting procedures to company technicians.
  • Facilitates communication between the customer, Komatsu, and local Topcon dealer.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND/OR SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Bring energy/ambition/innovation to the team to aggressively pursue goals, enacting real change within the CN Wood organization and at the customer jobsite. Creatively work with other teams/departments to overcome obstacles and maximize limited resources.
  • Assist Smart Construction Manager with tasks as assigned.
  • Cooperates with employees of other departments.

ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND/OR SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Trade show support as needed
  • Develop internal and external processes to standardize demo and rental activity
  • Collaborate with Accounting and Finance to track inventory return on investment
  • Support new business system implementation
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE / ATTRIBUTES

  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Ability to learn heavy equipment operation.
  • Knowledge of- and experience with - precision GPS products.
  • Basic understanding of computer networks, systems, and software.
  • General land/construction surveying knowledge.
  • Ability to utilize land/construction surveying equipment.
  • Strong construction knowledge and experience.
  • Civil Engineering experience is a plus.
