Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment including excavators, bulldozers, and articulated trucks.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in heavy machinery utilizing diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and prepare maintenance reports accordingly.
- Replace or repair faulty parts and systems to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve complex equipment problems effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Document all maintenance and repair activities in compliance with company procedures and standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician or similar role in a construction or industrial setting.
- In-depth knowledge of hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and diesel engines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment related to heavy machinery.
- Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and components, and perform physical tasks as required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
