Help desk Specialist

Fedtec is seeking Help desk Specialist to support desktop support operations within a secure Department of Defense (DoD) environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Windows client systems, Microsoft 365 services, and endpoint management tools such as Microsoft Intune. In this role, the technologist will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, assist users with system access and email support, and ensure reliable workstation performance across the organization. The position requires collaboration with system administrators and IT teams to resolve technical issues, manage support tickets, and maintain secure and efficient IT operations in compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards.

Location: Fort Sill, OK

Clearance : Active Secret or higher

Certification: CompTIA Security+CE and Computing environment(Windows 11 or M365)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Tier 1 2 desktop support and technical assistance for end users in a secure DoD environment.
  • Provide Tier 1 2 desktop support for end users including hardware troubleshooting, system configuration, and software installation
  • Manage and resolve service requests and incidents using the AESMP ticketing system
  • Support Windows 11 client environments, including system imaging, patching, and configuration
  • Assist with Microsoft 365 administration and troubleshooting, including Outlook email issues and user access problems
  • Configure and manage devices through Microsoft Intune and enterprise endpoint management tools
  • Troubleshoot and resolve printer connectivity and remote printing issues
  • Perform PC imaging and workstation deployment for new or replacement systems
  • Provide support for Active Directory account management, including user account provisioning and permissions troubleshooting
  • Assist with network connectivity troubleshooting related to TCP/IP configurations
  • Support SIPRNet and NIPRNet user environments in compliance with DoD security standards
  • Perform basic hardware repairs and component replacements for desktops and laptops
  • Provide Tier 1 audiovisual support for classroom and training environments
  • Assist System Administrators with routine IT support activities and infrastructure maintenance
  • Maintain documentation for troubleshooting procedures, system configurations, and support activities
  • The technologist will collaborate with system administrators, network teams, and other IT personnel to maintain system availability and performance.
Minimum Qualifications / Skills:
  • Active Secret Clearance (Final or Interim)
  • Associate's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field OR 3 years of relevant IT support experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Microsoft Windows client support
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune or endpoint device management
  • Experience with PC imaging and workstation deployment
  • Experience troubleshooting email systems and remote printer configuration
