We are seeking a Helpdesk Analyst / Systems Administrator to join a small technical team supporting users of a customer-facing application. This role combines helpdesk support, system administration, and occasional development assistance. The successful candidate will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, perform system configuration updates, and support application environments to ensure reliable operations. This position requires someone who can independently diagnose technical problems, manage user permissions and system updates, and collaborate closely with development and product teams when issues require code-level changes. Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for application-related support requests and helpdesk inquiries Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues including user permissions, account access, database updates, and application functionality concerns Perform system administration tasks related to application environments, user accounts, and configuration management Document issue resolutions and maintain internal knowledge base articles to support consistent troubleshooting processes Create detailed support tickets for development teams when code changes or deeper engineering work is required Assist with small development enhancements or technical improvements when support workload allows Monitor application logs and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve system issues Collaborate with development, product, and security teams to ensure smooth application operations and service reliability Maintain clear documentation of support processes and technical updates Required Qualifications Active Secret security clearance CompTIA Security+ certification 2–4 years of experience in helpdesk support, IT support, or system administration roles Experience performing routine technical support tasks such as account creation, permission updates, database modifications, and certificate troubleshooting Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across application and system environments Experience using ticketing systems to track and document technical work Experience reviewing application logs and monitoring tools to identify system issues Desired Qualifications Experience with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell Familiarity with software development workflows including Git, branching strategies, and code review processes Basic understanding of APIs and application integration concepts Exposure to cloud environments such as AWS or Azure Experience supporting product teams or application-focused environments Fantom Corp is a Software Development, Agile Cloud, Cyber Security (Risk Management, Assessments & Authorization (A&A)), Data, AI Platform (Computer Vision Models), Podcasting Media Services, and IT Services provider.
