This position provides comprehensive administrative support to the Technology Department to ensure efficient operations, effective communication, and accurate recordkeeping. Position Summary The Help Desk Technician provides comprehensive administrative and clerical support to the Technology Department to ensure efficient daily operations. This position supports scheduling, communication, documentation, and data management for technology initiatives across the district. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and vendors in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Provide general administrative support to the Technology Department, including phones, email, correspondence, and scheduling meetings. Assist with creating, maintaining, and organizing technology-related records, databases, and reports (inventory, work orders, purchases, licenses, and contracts). Help track, update, and reconcile technology inventory, including devices, peripherals, and related equipment. Support the processing of technology work orders or help desk tickets by entering, updating, and closing requests in the ticketing system. Coordinate and schedule technology-related services such as device deployments, repairs, and maintenance. Assist with communication to staff and families regarding technology procedures, announcements, and timelines. Prepare basic technology-related documents, spreadsheets, and presentations using Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office. Maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems for technology documentation and user guides. Liaise with vendors for quotes, orders, and service coordination as directed. Perform other related duties as assigned to support district technology operations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior experience in an administrative, clerical, or school office role preferred. Basic understanding of common technology tools (computers, printers, mobile devices) and comfort working in a technology-focused environment. Proficiency with Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office (Docs/Word, Sheets/Excel, Slides/PowerPoint, Gmail/Outlook). Work Schedule and Conditions Full-time, 12-month position (typical office hours; schedule determined by the district). Work performed primarily in an office setting within the Technology Department, with movement between buildings as needed. May require occasional lifting and moving of technology equipment and supplies in accordance with district job description standards. Regionally competitive salary and benefits package per the ESP/PSEA/NEA Collective Bargaining Agreement. Retirement benefits through the Pennsylvania State Employees' Retirement System (PSERS).
