Base Pay $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 / Year The job of High School teacher is done for the purposes of planning, organizing, and implementing an appropriateinstructionalprograminalearningenvironmentthatguidesandencouragesstudentsto develop and ful fi ll their academic potential. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution Meet the professional teacher education requirements of the school and the state Relevant teaching experience Knowledge of relevant technology DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences Collaborate with the Instructional Coach to analyze data and implement interventions Create lessons based on the non-negotiables of The Two-Handed Approach and attend relevant professionaldevelopmentopportunities Preparetheclassroomforclass activities Identify and select different instructional resources and methods to meet students’ varying needs Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment Use relevant technology to support instruction Provide appropriate feedback on work Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students Updateallnecessaryrecordsaccuratelyandcompletelyasrequiredbylaws,districtpolicies,and schoolregulations Prepare required reports on students and activities Maintain discipline per the rules and disciplinary systems of the school Apply appropriate disciplinary measures where necessary Performcertainduties,butnotlimitedtostudentsupport,counselingstudentswithacademic problems, and providing student encouragement Participateinextracurricularactivitiessuchassocialactivities,sportingactivities,clubs,and studentorganizations Participate in department and school meetings, parent meeting Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and student needs Keep up to date with developments in the subject area, teaching resources, and methods, and makerelevantchangestoinstructionalplansandactivities Other duties as assigned WORKING CONDITIONS : Mental Demands/ Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Maintain emotional control under stress. #J-18808-Ljbffr
