Expert Healthcare is seeking a motivated and caring Home Health Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our team. In this rewarding role, you will work under the supervision of licensed occupational therapists to assist in helping patients regain independence and improve their daily living skills after injury or illness. You will play an essential role in implementing individualized treatment plans, guiding patients through therapeutic activities, and monitoring their progress. Monday Through Friday

Service Area: Ray, Clay, Platte, Jackson and Buchanan counties

Responsibilities

  • Assist in administering individualized occupational therapy programs designed by licensed therapists.
  • Conduct therapeutic exercises and activities under supervision to enhance patients' skills in daily living.
  • Document patient progress and provide updates to the supervising occupational therapist.
  • Educate patients and their families about treatment protocols and home exercises.
  • Maintain a clean and safe therapy environment with properly functioning equipment.
  • Support patients emotionally and physically during their rehabilitation journey.

Requirements

  • Home Health Experience Preferred
  • HCHB Charting Experience Preferred
  • Current and valid OTA license in the state of practice.
  • Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Experience in home health or rehabilitative settings preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team.
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification is required.
