We are looking for a Gardener (Introductory Position) to support landscape maintenance operations in the Walpole, Massachusetts area. This role is ideal for someone beginning a career in landscaping or horticulture and interested in developing hands-on skills in plant care, garden maintenance, and landscape upkeep. The position works closely with experienced team members to maintain high-quality landscapes for commercial and residential properties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planting, watering, and maintaining flowers, shrubs, and other landscape plants

• Support seasonal planting and garden bed maintenance activities

• Perform basic tasks such as weeding, mulching, pruning, and deadheading plants

• Help maintain clean and organized landscape beds and garden areas

• Assist with installing seasonal plantings and container displays

• Use basic landscaping tools and equipment safely and effectively

• Monitor plant health and report issues such as pests, disease, or damaged plants

• Work with team members to maintain attractive and well-maintained landscapes

• Follow all safety procedures and jobsite protocols

Requirements

• Interest in gardening, landscaping, or horticulture

• Willingness to learn plant care and landscape maintenance practices

• Ability to perform physical outdoor work in varying weather conditions

• Strong attention to detail and reliability

• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

• Basic familiarity with gardening tools is helpful but not required

• Valid driver’s license preferred
