Horticulture Technician Apply
We are looking for a Landscape Gardener / Container Specialist to maintain and design seasonal plantings and decorative container displays throughout the Walpole, Massachusetts area. This role focuses on planting, maintaining, and refreshing container gardens, flower beds, and ornamental plantings that enhance commercial and residential landscapes. The position requires a strong eye for detail, knowledge of plant care, and the ability to create visually appealing seasonal arrangements.
Responsibilities
• Design, plant, and maintain decorative containers, flower beds, and seasonal displays
• Select appropriate plants, flowers, and materials for seasonal container arrangements
• Perform routine maintenance including watering, pruning, deadheading, fertilizing, and plant replacement
• Monitor plant health and identify issues related to pests, disease, or nutrient deficiencies
• Refresh seasonal plantings throughout the year to maintain attractive landscapes
• Transport and install plant materials, soil, and decorative elements for container displays
• Coordinate with landscape maintenance teams to ensure overall landscape quality
• Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies used for planting and horticulture work
• Ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and visually presentable
Requirements
• Experience in gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance
• Knowledge of plant varieties, seasonal flowers, and container planting techniques
• Ability to design and maintain attractive container and ornamental plant displays
• Experience maintaining flower beds and decorative landscape plantings
• Strong attention to detail and visual presentation
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift and move plants, soil, and related materials as required
