Position Overview
A high-end hotel is seeking an experienced and service-driven Bar, Lobby & Pool Manager to oversee daily operations across the hotel’s lobby bar, pool service, and related guest-facing lounge environments. This role is critical to delivering a refined, welcoming, and seamless experience for guests in one of Napa Valley’s premier luxury destinations.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on hospitality leader with strong beverage knowledge, a polished presence, and the ability to manage teams, service standards, and guest expectations in a fast-paced, high-end setting.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Guest Experience

Oversee daily operations of the lobby bar, pool service, and associated lounge areas

Ensure consistently elevated service standards aligned with a luxury hospitality environment

Actively engage with guests to create a warm, memorable, and personalized experience

Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring satisfaction and brand alignment
Team Leadership & Staffing

Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise bar, pool, and lounge staff

Lead by example with a strong floor presence during peak service periods

Provide coaching, performance feedback, and ongoing development to team members

Foster a culture of hospitality, accountability, and teamwork
Beverage & Service Standards

Oversee beverage program execution, including cocktails, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic offerings

Ensure compliance with all alcohol service regulations and safety standards
-
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation across all service areas

Partner with culinary and hotel leadership to align service with overall guest experience
Financial & Inventory Management

Monitor labor, inventory, and operating costs to meet budgetary targets

Manage ordering, inventory control, and vendor relationships for bar and pool operations

Support menu pricing, cost controls, and revenue optimization initiatives
Collaboration & Events

Coordinate with hotel operations, front office, and events teams to support:

Poolside activations

Lobby events and programming

Seasonal offerings and special events

Ensure smooth execution during high-occupancy periods and special functions
Qualifications
-
3+ years of experience in bar, lounge, or pool operations within a luxury hotel, resort, or upscale hospitality environment

Prior supervisory or management experience required

Strong knowledge of:

Craft cocktails, wine, and spirits

Luxury service standards and guest engagement

Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple service areas simultaneously

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to remain calm, polished, and solution-oriented under pressure

Flexible schedule required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Experience

Experience in luxury hotels, boutique resorts, or destination properties

Background in Napa Valley or wine-country hospitality

Beverage certifications (e.g., Sommelier coursework, mixology training) a plus
