Position Overview
As the Director of Human Resources, you will be a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, responsible for overseeing all HR operations, talent strategies, and workforce development initiatives to ensure a thriving workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the hotel's operational and financial goals.
- Oversee talent acquisition, recruitment, and retention efforts to attract top hospitality talent.
- Drive employee engagement, training, and professional development programs.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and hospitality industry standards.
- Manage compensation, benefits, and performance management to foster a positive work environment.
- Lead workplace culture initiatives to enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
- Handle employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes with fairness and consistency.
- Maintain HR metrics, including turnover rates, labor costs, and workforce planning.
- Collaborate with leadership to enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
- Oversee HRIS (Human Resources Information System) for efficient employee management.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
️ 5+ years of HR leadership experience in the hotel/hospitality industry.
️ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (SHRM or PHR certification preferred).
️ Deep understanding of labor laws, employee relations, and workforce compliance.
️ Experience with HRIS systems and payroll software.
️ Proven ability to build and maintain a strong workplace culture.
️ Strong knowledge of hospitality operations and workforce challenges.
️ Exceptional leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
