Today Cedars supports nearly 200 adults across Marin County who are working artists, weavers, jewelry-makers, gardeners, animal caretakers, chefs, neighbors, community volunteers, and much more!
Cedars is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support the day to day functions of the HR department and many of Cedars organizational operations. The HR Generalist will have excellent organizational and planning skills, the ability to effectively address competing interests, creative problem-solving, a deep sense of compassion and a desire to see others succeed.
This is a full-time, on-site position. The rate of pay is $32/hour.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to learn and use various databases. Experience with Workable and Paylocity preferred.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and analytically driven.
- Understanding of business letter writing, report preparation, and basic business math.
- Leadership, coaching skills, problem solving and resourceful thinking.
- Strong empathy and interpersonal skills. Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities is helpful.
- Ability to pass an employment physical including a TB test, and to meet the physical requirements of the job.
- A valid DMV driver's license and clean driving record.
- CPR and First Aid certifications or the willingness to acquire both.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check with the FBI and DOJ.
- An upbeat, positive attitude and good sense of humor a plus!
