HR Manager Carroll, IA, US 2 days ago Requisition ID: 1447 Salary Range: $70,000.00 To $75,000.00 Annually PURPOSE STATEMENT Game One is a national provider of branded athletic apparel, equipment and uniforms that lifts and inspires organizations to celebrate competition, spirit and identity. JOB SUMMARY HR Manager will facilitate the human resources processes and enforce company policies and practices at each of the business units where they are assigned. The Human Resources Manager is an integral member of the HR team, also providing administrative support to the HR function including record keeping, file maintenance, and HRIS data entry. Reporting to the VP of Human Resources, this role is also responsible for recruitment and hiring for location-level positions, shepherding the annual performance management process, and involvement in ongoing HR training and projects. JOB FUNCTIONS HR Duties Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. Ensure consistency of company policies and practices at all facilities within assigned region. Submit approved Employee Data Forms (EDF) to the payroll and benefits department for employment, compensation, or status changes. Assist with the preparation and roll out of the performance review process. Handle all Work Comp claims and reporting. Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and established best practices. Serve as line of communication for VP of Human resources regarding significant roadblocks that may jeopardize the achievement of objectives. Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, job specifications, schedules, qualifications and skills. Facilitate hiring inmates from NCCF in Rockwell City to help with staffing needs. Manage on-line application recruiting and tracking system for non-exempt positions. New hire orientation and onboarding, entering information into the HRIS system including verification of I-9 documentation and file maintenance. COMPETENCIES To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to multi-task while consistently meeting deadlines. Effective communication skills – verbal and written. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 2-4 years related experience in Human Resources, or equivalent combination of education and experience. PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred. Familiarity with COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, AAADA, and related state and federal regulations required. Proficient in Microsoft Office and related systems. Ability to learn ADP Workforce and related HR software program(s). Working understanding of human resources principles, practices and procedures.
