We are looking for an experienced HR/Payroll Specialist to join our team in Guerneville, California. In this long-term contract role, you will play a critical part in managing payroll processes, supporting HR functions, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies. Responsibilities:
• Oversee the bi-weekly payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational policies.
• Review and verify payroll data, resolving discrepancies and making necessary adjustments.
• Handle inquiries and resolve issues related to payroll, including garnishments and deductions.
• Manage employee onboarding processes for new hires, contractors, and volunteers.
• Process employee status changes such as terminations, tax updates, and address modifications.
• Coordinate workers' compensation claims, including documentation, reporting, and tracking.
• Respond to employment verification requests in a timely manner.
• Provide guidance on HR policies and address payroll-related questions.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting for all payroll activities.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline HR and payroll operations.• Minimum of three years of experience in Human Resources or administrative roles.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; certifications are a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, virtual meeting platforms, and payroll systems such as ADP Workforce Now.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently.
• Prior experience managing payroll for over 500 employees is advantageous.
• Customer service-oriented approach with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
