Position Summary The HRIS Analyst is responsible for the administration, liaison and coordination of Workday projects. This role will work in collaboration with project stakeholders within Human Resources as well as other areas within Ascensus to lead projects by defining scope, goals and deliverables. The analyst will build and support integrations with Workday. Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop a formal plan for carrying out each assigned project using appropriate planning methods and experimental design and testing. Develop and support integrations and reporting between Workday and other 3rd party applications. Develop integrations using Workday tools such as Core Connectors, Package Connectors, Workday Studio and EIBs. Support integrations through the development, testing and deployment of various types of integrations. Direct/execute assigned projects, including data collection/design and developing specifications/testing criteria/recommendations and implementations. Meet with all levels of management to discuss and clarify requests for projects made by management concerning Workday. Prepare detailed written reports and documentation for each project to serve both technical and general users. Partner with the Project Manager to set priorities and conduct long‑term planning for Workday. Lead testing and implementing the semi‑annual Workday upgrades. Lead various projects with Human Resources. Develop communications and edit or update human resources policies and guidelines when required by a project. Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements and presentations for ongoing projects. Estimate the specific resources needed to complete projects in a timely manner; own the project plan and ensure each team member completes their assignments as required. Conduct project post‑mortems and propose recommendations to identify both successful and unsuccessful portions of the project. Research, benchmark and produce detailed reports in support of the development of HR management practices. Participate in interdepartmental initiatives and projects as an HR Subject Matter Expert (SME). Manage client expectations, clearly explain policies, processes, procedures and service timelines. Develop written procedures and risk mitigation practices for all HR functions. Continually analyze new features to recommend process improvement initiatives including data analysis and functional support. Support merger and acquisition processes by providing assistance as needed with gathering and analyzing data. Protect, secure, and properly handle all confidential data held by Ascensus to prevent unauthorized access, improper transmission or unapproved disclosure of information. Demonstrate Ascensus’ I-Client service philosophy and Core Values of People Matter, Quality First and Integrity Always® in day‑to‑day actions. Assist with other tasks and projects as assigned. Supervision N/A Experience, Skills, Knowledge Requirements Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of four (4) years of experience in the Human Resources field. Between two to three years of experience with Workday HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, Payroll, Time Tracking and Absence modules. Experience building and supporting integrations within Workday, including Cloud Connect, Studio and EIBs. General understanding of all functional areas of Human Resources. Ability to work cross‑functionally within Human Resources and effectively interact with other departments within Ascensus. Ability to shift focus, multi‑task and prioritize in a rapidly changing environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to regularly handle moderately complex administrative duties, assemble reports containing confidential and sensitive information and respond to requests. Advanced knowledge in MS Office software applications. Requires a high degree of independent judgment and discretion. Possesses excellent analytical skills. Motivated and innovative. Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills. Strong interpersonal skills with internal and external clients. Salary and Benefits The national average salary range for this role is $80-100k in base pay, exclusive of any bonuses and benefits. This base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salary offered will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, performance and internal pay alignment.
