The position of HR & Payroll Coordinator will support payroll processes and human resources activities for the KX Technologies Connecticut team. Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR & Payroll Coordinator is the first point of contact for employee questions, advising on routine policies, supporting recruiting efforts, managing employee onboarding, assisting with the HRIS system, records maintenance and special projects as needed.Job Duties:
- Responsible for the Payroll including data input, data accuracy, partnering with supervisors and employees on payroll matters and running routine reports.
- Engages with employees in answering routine HR and payroll questions, escalating as necessary.
- Administers attendance policy and maintains employee information in HRIS and employee personnel files, reports on data as needed.
- Coordinates and conducts employee onboarding/offboarding while ensuring a positive employee experience.
- Collaborates with management to assist and/or facilitate key recruitment functions for both permanent and temporary employees.
- Supports HR Manager in administering employee benefit program.
- Organizes / facilitates employee training programs.
- Actively participates in the planning and coordination of company events, employee activities, wellness initiatives and volunteer efforts.
- Implements a wide range of programs to recognize and reward performance and build morale.
- Supports and actively participates in executing the organizations safety program, maintains associated safety-related documentation (OSHA Logs, Safety Communications and Compliance, Training Materials).
- Ensures consistent and accurate employee communications via all communications methods.
- Supports HR Manager in administering employee benefit program.
- Supports Corporate initiatives such as DEI and Employee Engagement campaigns.
- Supports HR Manager & Director and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years Human Resources experience in Manufacturing environment
- Understanding of payroll and personnel regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required, proficiency in ADP and Workday a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
- Ability to exercise effective judgment and sensitivity, successful in cross-functional relationship building.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to speak and write clearly (Spanish speaking a plus)
- Extremely organized, detail oriented, ability to maintain accuracy while handling multiple deadlines.
