Are you a detail-oriented individual who would enjoy investing your time and skills into the fast-paced world of human resources? We are seeking an analytical professional to provide consultative support to agency managers, supervisors, and human resource liaisons regarding the proper development and maintenance of position descriptions for the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), the Department of Agriculture (AG), and the Milk Marketing Board (MMB). As a Human Resource Analyst 1 in this capacity, you will perform talent management support work as part of the DCNR/AG/MMB Human Resource office to ensure compliance with position description (PD) and supervisory reporting relationship principles, procedures, and standards. This includes providing position description consultative support and reviewing change supervisor position requests from agency clients.


You will gather reports of agency positions for which current and accurate PDs are not in place, advise program offices of those PDs requiring updates, and provide guidance and necessary follow-up to ensure completion. Additional duties include drafting
standardized PD templates for high-volume, agency-specific jobs and sharing with program offices for use.This position also performs technical work and provides assistance to hiring managers associated with posting and filling vacancies, background checks, and candidate selections, especially during heavy periods of job filling.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Work schedule may be negotiable.
  • Occasional overtime and travel may be required to perform normal duties of the position.
  • Telework:You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience in the performance of technical human resource duties; and a bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
