Job Summary
The Human Resource Coordinator aids with and facilitates the human resource processes. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.
Responsibilities
- Assists with benefits, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
- Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.
- Assists with new-employee background checks.
- Assists with processing employee action forms including promotions, change of manager, position changes, compensation changes, and terminations.
- Assists with investigations at the direction of the HR director or manager.
- Assists with the disciplinary action process.
- Assists with the performance review process.
- Assists with the completion and review of timecards.
- Completes Onboarding tasks in Paylocity.
- Provides training to supervisory personnel on HR-related topics such as approving timecards, submitting employee actions forms, etc.
- Assists with recruitment and interview process. Tracks status of candidates in HRIS, and communicates with candidates, as needed.
- Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the director or manager of HR.
- Files documents into appropriate employee files.
- Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Paylocity or related software.
Preferred Experience
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
- At least two years related experience required.
- SHRM-CP credential preferred.
