Human Resource GeneralistHuman Resource Generalist performs duties at the professional level in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, training, employment, affirmative action and employment equity program and payroll functions. This position requires an extremely perceptive person, who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the organization. The Generalist must be sensitive to corporate needs, employee goodwill and business needs.An individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential job functions of this position successfully:Problem solving the individual identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and gathers and analyzes information skillfully.Interpersonal skills the individual maintains confidentiality, remains open to others' ideas and exhibits willingness to try new things.Oral communication the individual speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, demonstrates group presentation skills and conducts meetings.Written communication the individual edits work for spelling and grammar, presents numerical data effectively and is able to read and interpret written information.Planning/Organizing the individual prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans.Quality control the individual demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality.Adaptability the individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent changes, delays or unexpected events.Dependability the individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance.Safety and security the individual actively promotes and personally observes safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly.High school diploma or equivalent with some college or technical school coursework preferred and minimum of three (3) years of job-related experience, preferably in a human resource department, technical experience including responsibility for maintaining computer systems or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.Employee will be required to be readily available to work during any weather related incidents or other natural disasters and or any emergency situation that may arise.As part of the overall duties of Human Resource Generalist, it is a responsibility of my job to determine the job function of employees under my direction, as to protect EPHI and assign login's accordingly.This is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, duties, requirements, efforts, or working conditions associated with the job.
