Job Information Job Order ID: WI3976560 # of Positions: 1 Education: High School Diploma/GED (or equivalent) Position: Human Resource Generalist (Hourly) Shift: Unspecified Hours: 40 per week Job Description Under the supervision of the Human Resource Manager, the Human Resource Generalist will build relationships within the HR department and throughout the operations departments to provide effective communication, administrative and strategic support, as well as guidance through an organized approach to rapidly changing priorities. Key Responsibilities Recruiting: Source, screen, and interview candidates for open hourly positions using multiple channels; manage the entire hourly employment process; conduct phone screens; perform pre‑employment screening; produce written offers; coordinate compensation and benefits; maintain applicant tracking data. Safety: Administer all safety programs; conduct safety meetings; monitor compliance with OSHA regulations; schedule and deliver safety training; maintain SDS books; assist with incident reports and accident investigations; distribute safety incident files; enforce incident reporting policies. Affirmative Action: Track EEO data for applicants and employees; enter employee classification data into the Applicant Tracking Spreadsheet; report on one‑year and employment trend data. Employee On‑Boarding: Conduct new‑hire orientations; provide necessary supplies and resources; complete all hiring paperwork and E‑Verify; ensure new hires are effectively integrated into the organization. Employee Relations: Support the Regional Human Resource Manager and management team in fostering a positive employee relations climate; conduct follow‑up reviews for hourly employees; address employee concerns; visit agriculture, mill, and food‑processing sites to ensure corrective action. Payroll: Provide payroll support and communicate payroll information to ensure accurate submission each pay period. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED (or equivalent). Minimum of one‑year experience in HR or related field; experience in recruiting for hourly positions is highly desirable. Excellent communication, administrative, and problem‑solving skills. Proficiency in MS Office, applicant tracking systems, and payroll software. Knowledge of OSHA regulations, EEO/affirmative action laws, and employee relations best practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑changing environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
