Human Resource GeneralistThe Human Resource Generalist supports core HR functions across the organization, ensuring compliance, effective operations, and a positive employee experience. This role is involved in recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, HRIS maintenance, and ongoing HR programs. This is a contract to hire opportunity located near McHenry, IL.Key Responsibilities:Manage job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and offersConduct new hire orientation and support onboarding and offboarding processesPartner with hiring managers to fulfill staffing needsServe as a point of contact for employee questions and policy guidanceSupport employee relations matters, investigations, and performance discussionsContribute to employee engagement and culture-building initiativesAdminister health, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plansAssist employees with benefit enrollment and inquiriesManage FMLA, LOA, and workers' compensation processesMaintain accurate employee records in HR systemsProcess employee changes such as promotions, transfers, and status updatesPrepare HR reports and assist with auditsEnsure alignment with federal, state, and local employment lawsMaintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook updatesSupport HR projects, training initiatives, and organizational compliance effortsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred25+ years of HR generalist experienceKnowledge of employment law, HRIS systems, and HR best practicesStrong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms (e.g., ADP, Paylocity)Job Details:Contract to hire100% onsitePay $28-$32 an hour depending on experienceBenefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and 401K plan.
