Overview

Reliance One, Inc. is hiring an HR Manager to serve as a strategic partner to plant leadership and employees at a manufacturing facility in Shorter, Alabama. This role will lead all aspects of human resources at the site, fostering a high-performance culture through talent development, employee engagement, labor relations, compliance, and organizational effectiveness.


What You’ll Be Doing

Strategic HR Leadership

  • Partner with plant leadership to align HR strategies with business goals
  • Provide guidance on HR policies, programs, and best practices
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performance work environment

Talent Management

  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning
  • Drive employee development and retention initiatives

Employee Relations

  • Foster open communication and trust across the organization
  • Manage employee concerns, investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution fairly and consistently

Labor Relations (if applicable)

  • Manage union relationships, grievance procedures, and contract negotiations
  • Ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements

Compliance & Policy Management

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Maintain accurate HR records, reporting, and documentation

Training & Development

  • Identify skill gaps and coordinate training and leadership development programs
  • Support continuous improvement and organizational growth initiatives

HR Metrics & Reporting

  • Track and analyze HR metrics including turnover, absenteeism, and engagement
  • Provide insights and recommendations to leadership

HR Project Management

  • Lead or support corporate HR initiatives and system implementations
  • Drive site-level continuous improvement efforts


What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment
  • Strong working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to influence and partner with all levels of an organization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP)
  • Experience working in a unionized environment
