Overview
Reliance One, Inc. is hiring an HR Manager to serve as a strategic partner to plant leadership and employees at a manufacturing facility in Shorter, Alabama. This role will lead all aspects of human resources at the site, fostering a high-performance culture through talent development, employee engagement, labor relations, compliance, and organizational effectiveness.
What You’ll Be Doing
Strategic HR Leadership
- Partner with plant leadership to align HR strategies with business goals
- Provide guidance on HR policies, programs, and best practices
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performance work environment
Talent Management
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning
- Drive employee development and retention initiatives
Employee Relations
- Foster open communication and trust across the organization
- Manage employee concerns, investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution fairly and consistently
Labor Relations (if applicable)
- Manage union relationships, grievance procedures, and contract negotiations
- Ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements
Compliance & Policy Management
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Maintain accurate HR records, reporting, and documentation
Training & Development
- Identify skill gaps and coordinate training and leadership development programs
- Support continuous improvement and organizational growth initiatives
HR Metrics & Reporting
- Track and analyze HR metrics including turnover, absenteeism, and engagement
- Provide insights and recommendations to leadership
HR Project Management
- Lead or support corporate HR initiatives and system implementations
- Drive site-level continuous improvement efforts
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment
- Strong working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Proven ability to influence and partner with all levels of an organization
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP)
- Experience working in a unionized environment
