Human Resources Manager /Assistant Controller Job Summary Responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations including, oversight of A/R & A/P processes and staff. Responsible for all Human Resource functions including hiring, onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, and compliance. Essential Functions - Accounting Process wire ACH payments as needed. Maintain fixed asset records, including depreciation & IRS reporting. Prepare misc. journal entries as needed. Perform Month end closing process including reconciliation of accounts to the general ledger. Complete year-end general ledger closing procedures. Prepare miscellaneous financial and analysis reports. Assist with annual audit and reporting requirements as needed. Essential Functions - Human Resources Process weekly payroll, including funding transfers, payroll reporting, and preparation of standard and accrual journal entries ensuring payroll accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations. Assist with hiring and coordinate interviews. Conduct pre-employment screening. Assist new employees with onboarding and terminations. Collect required employment documentation and maintain employee personnel files. Coordinate new hire orientation and benefit enrollment. Administer employee benefit programs including Health, Workers' Compensation, Unemployment, FMLA, COBRA and maintain related documentation. Manage Affordable Care Act (ACA) reporting, 401(k) compliance testing, census reporting, and other regulatory requirements as needed. Prepare and distribute monthly newsletters. Update and maintain the Employee Handbook. Maintain OSHA logs and workplace safety records. Qualifications and Experience 7-10 years of working experience in Accounting and Human Resource role. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, ERP & accounting systems. Accuracy, with strong attention to detail. Strong interpersonal communication skills.
