What You'll Do Payroll Processing Accurately process payrolls for multiple clients while ensuring compliance with wage and hour laws Maintain payroll records including deductions, garnishments, accruals, and direct deposits Manage payroll changes such as rate updates, transfers, terminations, and pay adjustments Respond to payroll-related inquiries from clients and provide timely support Client Support Serve as a helpful point of contact for client payroll questions Maintain employee files within HR software systems Conduct I-9 audits and assist with HR report preparation Support clients with payroll tax filings and reporting Maintain strict confidentiality of client information Compliance & Auditing Ensure payroll processing complies with federal, state, and local regulations Assist with payroll audits, W-2 corrections, and tax reconciliations Help maintain accurate balance sheets and payroll documentation Work closely with other departments on onboarding, HR administration, and GL mapping Support payroll procedures including stale-dated checks and Pospay management when applicable Assist Payroll Managers and HR teams with special projects and process improvements Training & Development Develop knowledge across HR service areas to support continuous learning Master payroll administration functions to support career growth Maintain client templates, documentation, and standard operating procedures What We're Looking For Education Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field required Working toward Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification preferred HR certification is a plus Experience 1–3 years of payroll processing experience Familiarity with payroll systems, tax filings, and payroll compliance Skills Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills Ability to manage multiple payroll tasks and meet deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong customer service and client support abilities Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll and employment laws Understanding of full-cycle payroll processes including balancing, auditing, and tax reporting Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) Experience with HRIS and payroll software systems Ability to work independently while following established procedures Bilingual skills are valuable This role operates in a professional office environment and involves regular use of computers, phones, and standard office equipment. Occasional travel to client sites may be required.
