For over a century we have been committed to helping children, youth, and families heal from the effects of trauma by providing vital services such as foster care, mental health support, and special education. This Full‑Time position, based in San Diego, California, United States , offers a fantastic opportunity to support a mission‑driven organisation that empowers young people to build resilience and thrive. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing our human resources functions and fostering a positive work environment for our dedicated staff. The offered compensation for this role is between $24 to $36 USD per hour , commensurate with experience. Responsibilities Managing the end‑to‑end recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and selection. Coordinating the onboarding process for new employees to ensure a smooth and welcoming integration into the organisation. Serving as a primary point of contact for employee enquiries, providing guidance on policies, procedures, and benefits. Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records within our Human Resources Information System (HRIS). Assisting with employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and disciplinary procedures, with professionalism and discretion. Ensuring organisational compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations. Supporting the performance management cycle, including annual reviews and goal‑setting processes. Assisting in the development and implementation of HR policies and programmes. Qualifications Proven experience in a similar HR role, such as an HR Coordinator or Generalist. Strong understanding of core HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, and compliance. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with staff at all levels. Strong organisational and time‑management skills, with a keen eye for detail. Proficiency in using HRIS software and the Microsoft Office Suite. A high degree of integrity and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately. A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is highly desirable.
