North Jersey Recovery Center is looking to expand their human resources department, introducing the new role of assistant to Human Resources/Chief People Officer. The Human Resources Assistant will provide administrative support, and assist with various functions such as recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, and benefits administration. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, have a robust understanding of data privacy, security laws, and HIPAA regulations. This role emphasizes data-driven decision-making while prioritizing a person-centered approach.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in human resources, healthcare administration, or another related field.1-2 years of administrative experience, preferably in Human Resources/healthcare.Knowledge of employment laws for federal, state, and local agencies.Knowledge of state & federal statutes regarding client confidentiality laws.Knowledge of Joint Commission Standards (preferred).Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.Highly organized with strong time management kills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Key Responsibilities: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.Organizes, coordinates, tracks and monitors timeliness and completion of all employee performance appraisals.Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.Develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy needs.Performs other duties as assigned.Benefits:401(K)401(K) Matching Health Insurance (monthly $1,000 company contribution)Life InsurancePaid Time Off
