Human Resources Generalist Apply
Our client is a third-party firm specializing in administering employer benefit plans. Their goal is to create a state-of-the-art, fully integrated benefit management platform that will meet the needs of their clients.
You will be responsible for all People Services' administrative and recruitment activities as the HR Generalist. 60% of responsibilities relate to the recruitment and onboarding processes.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Works collaboratively with the People Services Manager, CPO, and other HR team members to develop and administer various human resources policies, procedures, and programs for company team members.
- Manages and evaluates effective recruitment strategies to reflect strategic needs and disseminates information to managers and other People Services Personnel.
- Rewrites job descriptions as necessary; analyzes compensation; monitors performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
- Work with payroll on wage and classifications to abide by guiding collective bargaining agreements and local, federal, and state regulations.
- Manages and maintains a handbook on policies and procedures.
- Guides bargaining and non-bargaining employees on various HR issues.
- Continuously learn with newly applied legislation and advise on legal implementation within the provisions of various collective bargaining agreements and, policies, and procedures.
- Works with the People Services Manager to ensure the interactive process for reasonable accommodations is documented and appropriately reflected in the People Services database.
- Manage all reporting functions to various Federal and state Entities annually (e.g., US Commerce, EEO-1, HRA Nondiscriminatory testing, Department of Labor Salary Survey, etc.)
- Updates the HRIS system for Leave personnel actions and notifies payroll.
- Manage exit interview process to include attrition metrics to assist in the retention of high turnover roles.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in a related field and 1-3 years of experience within human resource functions. Experience in a union environment is preferred.
- Solid organizational skills and ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines.
- Professional communication style and ability to convey complex information to a diverse organizational base.
- Proven ability to work cohesively and professionally with all levels of an organization.
- Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with management, coworkers, and staff in other departments.
- Demonstrates ability to keep calm and positive within all communications.
- Proven track record of excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
- Maintaining a positive attitude during demanding and stressful situations.
- Proven ability to accurately and timely review and edit documents.
- Previous experience utilizing Microsoft Office software.
