- Job Position: Human Resources Manager
- Location: Hackensack, New Jersey
- Role: Oversee firm-wide human resource functions including resource planning, recruitment, performance evaluations, disciplinary procedures, benefits and employee relations.
- Duties include:
- Offering managerial and administrative support to the Chief Human Resources Officer
- Continuously evaluating current firm policies and procedures
- Overseeing firm recruiting, hiring, development and retention programs
- Determining staffing needs and maintaining benchmarked staffing ratios
- Managing employee relations and resolving employment conflicts
- Coordinating with the Chief Human Resources Officer and Payroll and Benefits Coordinator regarding all firm benefit plans
- Ensuring standard job descriptions for support staff are updated and reviewed timely
- Keeping the Firm Managing Partners and Chief Human Resources Officer informed of HR matters and assisting with financial analysis and reports
- Assisting with integration of new attorneys
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human resource management or related field
- Prior law firm experience, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, SPHR or PHR is a plus
- 4+ years of progressively responsible work experience within legal or other professional service organizations
- Ability to identify and analyze complex issues and implement solutions
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Broad knowledge of law firm services, policies and procedures
- Working knowledge of computer software including Microsoft is necessary.
- Compensation: Excellent compensation package and comprehensive benefits program.
