Truce Law is a 38‑person collaborative divorce law firm in Seattle that is on pace to double its size by the end of 2026. We have built a solid HR foundation—recruiting, onboarding, and processes are in place—and we are looking for an experienced HR professional to own it, systematize it, and scale it with us. If you want to be a dedicated HR owner at a fast‑growing, mission‑driven law firm and you are an AI‑curious operator energized by hybrid work in a real team environment, we would love to meet you. What We Offer Medical, Dental, Vision: Employer‑paid coverage for employees – no employee premium required. Paid Time Off: Four weeks total – three weeks PTO plus a full paid week off for the firm’s winter holiday closure. Paid Holidays: Ten paid holidays annually. 401(k): 3 % firm contribution regardless of employee contribution. Performance Bonuses: Tied to role‑specific KPIs and paid based on performance outcomes. Lifestyle Spending Account (LSA): Firm‑funded account for wellness, fitness, and lifestyle expenses. Professional Development Stipend: Annual stipend to support certifications, training, and continued HR education. Hybrid/Remote Schedule with Flexibility: Seattle‑based hybrid/remote with flexibility within role expectations. Firm Technology: Microsoft 365 / Copilot and Claude AI tooling provided. AAA Membership: Roadside assistance, identity theft protection, and discounted pet insurance. Why This Role Truce Law has built a functioning HR foundation—recruiting processes, JD templates, onboarding, and offboarding are in place. What this role adds is dedicated ownership: a single professional who maintains, updates, and scales the function as the firm grows. Payroll is transitioning from the controller. Trainual needs a day‑to‑day steward. Compliance is actively managed with Vensure’s HR professionals, but an internal owner is needed to close gaps and keep pace with a firm that is doubling. Responsibilities Own payroll end‑to‑end: processing, reconciliation, and employee inquiries through Vensure, our PEO and payroll platform. Manage the full recruiting lifecycle: using our existing infrastructure—Wizehire, JD templates, and a structured interview process. Partner with Vensure’s dedicated HR professional: to manage multi‑state compliance across WA, CA, WI, GA, Own day‑to‑day Trainual management: policy library and Employee Handbook; design role‑based access architecture with the Operations Manager. Manage offer‑letter workflows, bonus documentation, and quarterly acknowledgment process: for a 38‑person team growing to 70+. Own employee relations, performance documentation, and attorney licensing compliance: keeping the firm legally sound as it scales. Qualifications 3–5+ years of HR generalist experience: owned payroll, recruiting, and compliance independently, not just supported. End‑to‑end payroll experience through a PEO or payroll platform: Vensure experience is strongly preferred. Multi‑state compliance experience or a track record of managing it alongside a PEO. Strong process and documentation discipline: you can receive an existing function, document what isn’t yet documented, and improve what exists. AI fluency and trajectory: you use AI tools (Copilot, Claude, or comparable) in your current HR work and are actively investing in deeper integration. Nice to Have Law firm or professional services experience: familiarity with attorney licensing, WSBA compliance, and CLE tracking. Direct Vensure platform experience. Familiarity with DocuSign and Trainual (or equivalent e‑signature and LMS platforms). SHRM‑CP, PHR, SHRM‑SCP, or SPHR certification. Local Seattle area location: preferred for hybrid in‑office presence. Compensation $70,000 – $90,000 per year. #J-18808-Ljbffr
