Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Bi lingual Spanish HR Manager (Contract) to provide hands-on human resources leadership and operational support for an onsite team in Newport Beach. This role will oversee day-to-day HR operations while partnering closely with leadership to support employees, ensure compliance, and maintain effective people processes during a period of transition or increased workload.
The ideal candidate is a HR professional who is comfortable working fully onsite, managing multiple priorities, and operating in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations & Employee Relations

Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, including performance management, investigations, and conflict resolution

Advise managers and leadership on HR best practices, policies, and employment issues

Support employee lifecycle activities including onboarding, offboarding, and internal transitions
Compliance & Policy Management

Ensure compliance with California labor laws, wage and hour regulations, and company policies

Review, update, and enforce employee handbooks, policies, and procedures

Partner with legal counsel or external advisors as needed on complex HR matters
Talent & Workforce Support

Support recruiting and hiring processes, including coordination with internal teams and external recruiters

Assist with offer letters, background checks, and onboarding documentation

Support workforce planning and headcount tracking
Compensation, Benefits & HR Administration

Oversee benefits administration, leave management, and payroll coordination

Support annual compensation planning and job evaluations, as applicable

Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
Leadership & Stakeholder Partnership

Act as a trusted HR partner to managers and leadership

Provide guidance on organizational change, process improvements, and employee engagement initiatives

Support special HR projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Manufacturing or Hospitality background
- Bilingual Spanish pref.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including experience in an HR Manager or similar role
- Strong working knowledge of California employment law and HR compliance

Proven experience handling employee relations issues and investigations

Experience supporting onsite workforces

Preferred Experience

SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP or PHR / SPHR certification

Experience in professional services, corporate, hospitality, or operational environments
