Are you a motivated person who likes supervising staff and overseeing various programs designed to assist participants? The Office of Long-Term Living (OLTL) is looking for a person who is dedicated to assist participants in resolving issues and complaints regarding the services that they receive from OLTL. This position will allow you to work with participants, Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), staff from various offices, and other stakeholders.

As a Human Services Program Executive 1, you will administer statewide home and community-based services ensuring services are provided to individuals. To provide such services, a thorough understanding of the divisions home and community-based programs, including state and federal requirements, internal policies and procedures, community resources, and other related topics is essential. You will also recommend and develop appropriate resources to meet needs of service providers.

In this role, you will oversee professional staff comprised of Medical Facility Records Examiners (MFRE), Contract Program Specialists, and Lead Medical Assistants, and Human Services Program Specialists. You will supervise the day-to-day program operations of an amazing team of professionals by prioritizing and assigning tasks, providing leadership and direction, and ensuring the accurate and timely completion of tasks. You will provide direction, training, and consultation to professional staff in the development and maintenance of programs, policies, automated systems, procedures, and forms. You will also ensure consistency in interpretation of policies, program guidance, and information provided by team members within the teams, and work with other team supervisors to ensure such consistency across teams.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 5 days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • The Department of Human Services provides excellent benefits, pay increases, paid leave and holidays, as well as opportunities for career advancement.
  • Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience as a Human Services Program Specialist Supervisor or Human Services Analyst Supervisor (Commonwealth titles); or
  • Four years of professional experience in the development, implementation, or evaluation of a human services program or program operations, including two years of supervisory experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of professional experience and training that includes two years of professional supervisory experience in the development, implementation, or evaluation of a human services program or program operations.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
