JOB DESCRIPTION:

Maret School is looking for an inspiring and engaging, World History teacher who possesses a growth mindset. Currently, this position is 50% but could possibly be expanded with coaching or other additional responsibilities.

Candidates must have a demonstrated commitment and passion for equity, inclusion, and belonging in all facets of their work.

As a teacher, the successful candidate will:

Possess a student-centered approach

  • Have demonstrated expertise in teaching ancient and modern world history at the middle and/or upper school level;
  • Have classroom experience differentiating instructional strategies;
  • Have strong communication skills;
  • Display excellent classroom management skills;
  • Be committed to professional development and collaboration with colleagues;
  • Exhibit a deep passion for teaching and interest in working with a variety of students;
  • Have a minimum of three years teaching experience;
  • Have an advanced degree in a related field (preferred).
