HV Site Engineer Apply

Job Summary As a HV Site Engineer you’ll be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of high-voltage substations. This includes monitoring, maintaining, and repairing equipment, as well as providing on-site technical support. The role involves extensive travel, irregular work hours, and close collaboration with internal teams, customers, and contractors. You’ll be on-site three days a week for 10-hour shifts and on call with a 1–2-hour emergency response time. Day to Day responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on substation equipment, including troubleshooting and repairs. Monitor SCADA systems, respond to alarms, and write/execute switching orders as needed. Travel to substation sites for switching operations and emergency support. Document work using digital tools, including service reports and time/expense logs. Coordinate with utility operators, contractors, and engineering teams to align schedules and responses. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and support emergency response readiness. Must-Have Qualifications 5+ years of experience working with substations High School Diploma or GED OSHA 30 certification Familiarity with construction site protocols Mechanical aptitude - ability to troubleshoot and repair substation equipment Experience monitoring SCADA systems Willingness to travel based on project needs Nice-to-Have Qualifications Experience in substation maintenance, installation, or commissioning Excellent knowledge of SAP or similar software/hardware Prior experience with digital documentation and service reporting tools #J-18808-Ljbffr
