JOB DESCRIPTION:

A very reputable MEP Engineering firm is hiring for a HVAC Mechanical Designer & Detailer that will work hand in hand with the mechanical engineers and act as their support staff. You will ultimately be helping with design/drafting but will also have the chance to be exposed to and work collaboratively in a cross-discipline environment, dive into helping project teams in the production of engineering drawings and project documents. They are looking for individuals' who have a passion and strong commitment to design excellence. Their portfolio consists of some of the most prominent Healthcare/laboratory/research work, as well as some airport, education, retail, corporate Office and other large commercial project types.

Mechanical designer Responsibilities:
  • schematic design, design development, and construction documents
  • AutoCAD, Revit A Must
  • HVAC, Piping, Plumbing Design, Drafting, & Detailing Required
  • P.E. Licensed Strongly Preferred but required
  • Spatial coordination with architecture and other engineering systems
  • Site condition surveys
  • Using technology and methodologies to create innovative approaches to building design
  • Providing any support and assistance to other engineers and members of the project team
Mechanical Designer Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field of study preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in the design & production of mechanical systems for a diversity of project types
  • Must be Revit proficient
