Key Responsibilities

• Manage commercial HVAC projects from contract award to final completion
• Review project scope, drawings, specifications, and contracts
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and manpower plans
• Coordinate with field supervisors, technicians, subcontractors, and vendors
• Procure materials and equipment; track lead times and deliveries
• Conduct job kickoff meetings and internal project handoffs
• Monitor job costs, labor efficiency, and change orders
• Prepare and submit RFIs, submittals, and closeout documentation
• Maintain clear communication with customers, GCs, and internal teams
• Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with local codes
• Manage billing, progress draws, and job closeout

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial HVAC (project management, supervision, or field leadership)
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, installation methods, and jobsite workflows
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, and manpower
• Proficiency in project management software (BuildOps, Procore, Bluebeam, or similar)
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Experience

• Mechanical contractor background
• Field experience as a commercial HVAC technician or foreman
• Design-build and negotiated work experience
• Familiarity with Chicago-area codes and permitting
• Experience with prevailing wage and union environments (a plus)
