We have partnered with a large HVAC company in the Phoenix, AZ area to provide them with HVAC Project Tech. Please review the below description and let us know if you are interested.

Prioritized Must Have Skills of the HVAC Project Tech:

#1. Must have at least 5yrs of hands-on HVAC exp.

#2. Must have exp with planning, removal, installation, and start up of new HVAC equipment.

#3. Must have exp working with pumps, RTUs, boilers, cooling towers, exhaust fans, and terminal units.

#4. No more than 4 jobs in the last 10yrs

Requirements of the HVAC Project Tech:

  • Demonstrated success in completing commercial HVAC replacement and retrofit projects with a focus on safety and quality.
  • At least 5 years of experience in commercial HVAC service and project work.
  • Expertise in HVAC equipment installation and system practices.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the commercial and industrial HVAC sectors.
  • Proficient in sheet metal work, piping, brazing, soldering, electrical installation, and modifications.
  • Experience with crane operation and rigging.
  • Skilled in evacuating, testing, charging with refrigerant, and starting up new HVAC systems.
  • Capable of performing system start-ups and troubleshooting new HVAC equipment.
  • Familiar with system layout and design-build processes.
  • Ability to interpret equipment submittals, MEP drawings, electrical schematics, blueprints, and equipment sequences of operation.
  • Competent in using measurement tools, manometers, multimeters, pressure gauges, and other industry-specific instruments.
  • Proficient with power tools, including saws, grinders, drills, sheet metal and pipe fitting tools, as well as basic hand tools.
  • Adheres to safety protocols, performs Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) for each project.
  • Receives and follows work orders as instructed by supervisors.
  • Reviews project details with leads or supervisors to understand task requirements.
  • Plans and executes tasks to adhere to project schedules and labor estimates.
  • Responsible for managing project budgets, schedules, and overall quality.
  • Communicates effectively with Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and customers, addressing any concerns before leaving the site.
  • Submits detailed daily service reports.
  • Values teamwork and is willing to assist colleagues, including working overtime, nights, and weekends as needed.
  • Capable of learning new tasks independently and engaging in continuous education, whether self-directed or company-provided.
  • Active in technical organizations to enhance technical knowledge.
  • Holds a Universal EPA license.
  • Possesses a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record as per company insurance requirements.
  • Able to pass a criminal background check, pre-employment drug test, and ongoing random drug testing.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Other Key Requirements:

  • 100% in office role
  • No sponsorships or visa holders. No Corp-to-Corp.
