Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Sales Engineer to join the team. This role is ideal for a motivated, self-driven individual with a proven background in commercial HVAC sales and established relationships with owners, engineers, and mechanical contractors in the Miami, Fort Lauderdale, or Palm Beach markets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cultivating and managing long-term client and manufacturer relationships with minimal oversight, contributing significantly to the company's growth and market presence.
Key Responsibilities- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with owners, engineers, and contractors.
- Leverage technical expertise to establish credibility and trust with clients, demonstrating commitment to their needs.
- Provide contractors with training and project-specific assistance for optimal product application.
- Respond promptly and accurately to customer inquiries, offering tailored product solutions and system designs that drive sales.
- Engage in regular travel to customer offices and project sites, with minimal in-office time required.
- Oversee multiple projects concurrently, ensuring client satisfaction from project inception to completion.
- Analyze specific customer needs to develop and execute customized account business plans.
- Drive market penetration and influence project designs, specifications, and drawings to establish the Basis of Design (BOD) for the products.
- Stay updated on HVAC industry fundamentals and product innovations.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of 3-5 years in a client-facing HVAC sales role.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new product knowledge to generate sales.
- Experience in managing client relationships and handling complex situations effectively.
- Comfortable with client-facing roles, including site visits, office meetings, and welcoming clients to the office.
- Strong negotiation skills and a proven track record in closing sales.
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in technical communication, with the capacity to influence project specifications to achieve sales goals.
- Strong interpersonal skills, capable of managing and nurturing professional relationships with minimal oversight.
