Position Summary

Hawks & Company is seeking an experienced Service Operations Manager to lead and support our Service Department. This role oversees people, performance, safety, fleet, financials, and training to ensure operational excellence and accountability.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Operations

  • Lead, coach, and manage Service Sales, Contract Administration, CSR team, Field Service Managers (FSM), Field Training Supervisors (FTS), and technicians
  • Conduct regular touchpoints and quarterly 1:1 reviews
  • Oversee technician training, career development, and performance reviews (partnering with HR)
  • Manage service billing and resolve billing issues

Recruitment

  • Identify staffing needs and review applicants in Paylocity
  • Participate in Zoom and in-person interviews
  • Attend career and school recruitment events

Fleet & Safety

  • Oversee fleet maintenance with the Shop Coordinator
  • Ensure truck inspections, standardized stock, proper equipment, and GPS compliance
  • Enforce safety policies and promote safe field deployment

Financials & Contracts

  • Track and communicate monthly service billings and KPIs
  • Review reports and implement performance improvements
  • Support service contract renewals and approve new agreements

Payroll & Training

  • Approve timesheets, time-off requests, and GPS verification
  • Support technician training and OJT documentation

Requirements:

Qualifications
  • Proven leadership experience in service or operations management
  • Strong coaching, accountability, and financial management skills
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
