Hvac Service Technician Apply
Responsibilities
Services high efficiency and standard efficiency heating and cooling equipment, including: boilers, furnaces, central air/heat pumps, humidifiers, ductless mini splits, a variety of standard hot water heaters as well as tankless technology.
Completes preventive maintenance of listed Heating, Cooling, and Hot Water equipment
Maintains QIV certification and performs testing on new A/C installs (training provided), as well as obtains/maintains other required certifications
Establishes client relationships and generates new business
Diagnose, repair, and replace defective equipment, components, or wiring
Install and repair smart thermostats and controls, along with their respective wiring
Generates additional work and service visits based on additional found opportunities
Handles paperwork, collects customer payments, and reports results of service/maintenance calls via computer software
Performs other duties as required
Competencies
Ability to perform all aspects of maintenance and repair on equipment stated above
Reading and interpreting schematics
Soldering/brazing
Proper and safe use of power tools
Line voltage and control wiring
Customer/client focus/Teamwork orientation
Requirements
3- 5+ years of experience servicing residential heating and cooling equipment
Ability to perform all functions stated
Ability to stay current with trade-related technology and software to perform and result calls
Experience in maintaining customer/vendor relationships
License Requirements
EPA Universal
Refrigeration License preferred
Oil license a plus
Clean MA driver's license
Pass a Background Check
