For the past 24 years, we have been dedicated to ensuring high employee satisfaction by offering an attractive benefits package, performance incentives, comprehensive training programs, and a strong commitment to promoting from within our ranks.Best Western Oceanfront and Days Inn are seeking an Experienced HVAC Technician.Position Summary:The Certified HVAC Technician performs general guest room and commercial area maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment. Maintains and repairs physical structures of buildings and maintains grounds by performing the following duties.Essential Functions:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.1. Locates and corrects heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) malfunctions and adjusts HVAC units to include systems control checks in guest rooms, commercial kitchen, and laundry equipment2. Contact and schedule vendors and contractors for necessary building repairs and emergencies outside the scope of routine maintenance.3. Maintains a schedule of when maintenance has been performed and when the next service is due.4. Works safely and recognizes unsafe situations. Take appropriate action to ensure their safety and that of others in the building.5. Systematically checks all guest room electrical appliances and circuits and can repair most in-room defects when necessary.6. Assists with all in-house repairs, including removing and replacing bathroom tile, painting, repairing wallboard and vinyl, and carpentry, as needed.7. May be asked to perform routine maintenance on building interior and exterior.Work Environment: The job operates in public and non-public areas of the property, including guest rooms. While performing its duties, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to various extreme conditions. The noise level in the work environment and work areas can be loud.Physical Demands: The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, lift, and pull items over 75 pounds. The position requires manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills, and following written and oral instructions and procedures.Position Type: This is a full-time position, Non-Exempt.Travel: No travel is expected for this position.Required Education and Experience:1. ITI or Diploma holder in Air conditioning and refrigeration. Or two years of skilled trade school or maintenance vocational schooling.2. Must have experience with electrical 120/280v-277/480v single and 3-phase systems.3. Must have CFC Certification.Preferred Education and Experience:1. Experience with PTAC units, Split systems, and RTUs.2.
