HVAC Tech Bellflower, CAReports to: Director of Facilities FLSA: Non-Exempt Supervises: N/A Department: Facilities Pay Rate: $35.00-$40.00Position Mission The HVAC/Refrigeration Technician is responsible for the maintenance and service of restaurant kitchen equipment, including beverage systems, boilers, ice machines, freezers, and HVAC work. Maintenance duties include the installation, service, and repair of equipment. A company vehicle will be provided to ensure you are well equipped for the job.Responsibilities Include:Performs complex repairs on commercial kitchen and HVAC equipment.Manage installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial kitchen equipment.Diagnose technical problems and determine proper solutions.Provides preventative maintenance activities.Maintains safe, clean, and organized work area to include work vehicle, tools, manuals, and parts.Uses various hand and power tools appropriately.Completes other repairs as needed.Deals with interruptions and successfully manages multiple tasks.Adheres to all company policies and procedures.Maintains behaviors and actions consistent with the company's values and standards.Performs other related duties as required and assigned.Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.3+ years of experience in HVAC/Refrigeration is a must.Must own your own tools.Experience working in HVAC/Refrigeration in the restaurant industry preferred.Knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment is a plus.EPA Certification Type II or better required.Must be flexible and willing to work a varied schedule as dictated by the needs of the business.Must be able to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environment with many interruptions.Attention to detail and a high degree of mental concentration are necessary for working on difficult projects, balancing numerous tasks simultaneously, and meeting deadlines.Works well under pressure and tight timelines.The ability to work weekends and travel as needed.Other Attributes:Must be a self-starter, process and solutions focused.Enthusiastic and strong driver of the company's Mission and Core Values.Remain positive in high pressure and stressful situations.Demonstrates critical thinking, communication, and relationship-building skills.Consistently takes initiative, works independently, sets priorities, makes judicious decisions, and meets deadlines.Finishes duties and projects as required and assigned in an efficient and timely manner.Understands what it takes to be successful in a matrixed organization and get stuff done.Works additional hours as needed.Regular and punctual attendance.Benefits:Medical Insurance - Eligible 1st of month after 60 days.401K Plan - Eligible after one year.Vacation - One week after one year.Sick Leave- Granted per State Requirement.Cell Phone allowance- $100/month.Vehicle Allowance - Company vehicle provided for work use only.Additional Information: Physical Demands: Standard office work environment.
