13 weeks | Days | 8-Hour shift | 40 Hours Guaranteed Weekly

Please contact a recruiter for full details.The Physical Therapist Assistant(PTA) is a licensed healthcare provider who works under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. PTA's will carry out physical therapy programs to help patients relieve pain and improve function from injury and disease to reach their optimal physical abilities to achieve long-term health benefits. Responsible for providing appropriate therapy and treatment to persons recognized as in need of physical therapy. Provides a wide range of services from assessment through therapy and necessary follow-up services under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist and within the scope of his/her licensure. Assists in providing services to patients of all ages, from children through geriatrics.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION
Experience:
- Prior experience in the provision of physical therapy services preferred, experience with workplace/industry/job site analysis, Pre-work screening, and/or ergonomic assessment highly preferred.
- Experience in acute, long-term care, and/or outpatient therapy.
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited program for Physical Therapy Assistants
Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registration:
- An active, unrestricted PTA license/certification from any U.S. State or Territory
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS required. New employees certify within three (3) months after the hire date.
EMR System: Meditech knowledge/experience preferred
Shift: M-F DAYS
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- The high degree of empathetic listening, tact, and kindness toward others.
- Ability to communicate well verbally. Must work effectively as a member of a team.
- Strong computer knowledge
- Ability to perform technical skills associated with procedures listed in this job description.
- Ability to work with independence and with minimal direction.
